Concert with the Stars
Presented by The LEXington Theatre Company & Variety Live
The LEXington Theatre Company is thrilled to welcome home Lexington’s own Colton Ryan for “Concert With The Stars” 2018, presented by Variety Live at The Opera House, and sponsored by KentuckyOne Health. Ryan appeared as one of The LEX’s collegiate “Broadway Hopefuls” in the 2016 edition of “Concert With The Stars.” He made his Broadway debut in the smash-hit Dear Evan Hansen later that same year. Ryan will be joined by Tyler Hanes (Broadway’s Cats, On The Town, A Chorus Line, Hairspray and many more) and Gabrielle Ruiz (Television’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Broadway’s If/Then, Evita and In The Heights). In celebration of the The LEX’s mission, the stars from Broadway will be joined by an ensemble of college students, from top-notch music and theatre programs, as well as local talent.
“Concert With The Stars” is a cabaret-style concert of Broadway show tunes, interwoven with behind-the-scenes stories from the guest stars. The Broadway Stars of today are joined by the Broadway Hopefuls of tomorrow, in various numbers. However, The LEX celebrates numerous alums that have made their Broadway or National Tour debut since appearing in a LEX production.
