2014-15 Broadway Live Season Announced!

The 2014-15 Broadway Live show lineup was announced last night during the annual gala season preview event at the Lexington Opera House. The event showcased local talent who performed excerpts from top national touring productions, all booked for the coming season.

The 2014-15 five-show season features four Broadway musicals and a classic play from a renowned regional theatre company. "We are excited to announce a season of fantastic entertainment for the entire family,” said Opera House Program Director Luanne Franklin.  “Come Play!  There really is something for everyone – None of the 2014-15 shows have ever toured in Lexington and three of the productions have recently been on Broadway.”

Season ticket holders always receive the best deal -- 20% off the lowest ticket prices.  The five-show season ticket packages start at just $172!  Lowest season ticket prices are locked in until single Broadway Live tickets go on sale on August 25th.

“There has never been a more affordable time to become a season ticket holder and enjoy the benefits that come with it,” Franklin explained. “Season ticket holders enjoy the best prices; get the best seat selection before tickets go on sale to the general public; enjoy multiple payment options, the lowest handling fees and the security of ticket insurance in case tickets are lost, misplaced or forgotten; along with the ease and flexibility of switching show performances in the event of a schedule change.  Best of all is the great personal service that has become an integral part of the Broadway Live experience,” she said.

Season ticket holders also have the chance to buy additional tickets at 10% discount and in advance of the general public on-sale date of August 25th.  In addition, season ticket holders will have the FIRST opportunity to purchase tickets to A GRAND CELEBRATION featuring The Marcus Roberts Trio on September 12th and CHUGGINGTON, The Great Rescue Adventure LIVE coming in 2015. The two Variety Live presentations will be available for sale ONLY to subscribers at the same time as Broadway Live season subscriptions.

The Broadway Live series will present five performances of each title and all shows are scheduled to take place over the weekends, including three evenings and two matinees.  Season ticket prices are $320 for Level 1 seats, $280 for Level 2 and $192 for Level 3.  A special “value price” for the 6 p.m. Sunday Evening Performance will be offered again this year at $280 for Price Level 1, $240 for Price Level 2 and $172 for Price Level 3. Lexington Center CEO and President Bill Owen said, "The Lexington Opera House, built in 1886, has been in service for 128 years and continues to go strong. The Opera House Fund and the Lexington business community are to be commended for providing the necessary sponsorship dollars so that we may continue to offer fine facilities for intimate live stage performances presented by both national touring companies and the local performing arts community alike.”
