Antique, Not Antiquated!
Interior of the Opera House Now celebrating 120 years of service to the community, the Opera House is in need of major restoration in order to provide continued excellence to a growing audience. It’s been 30 years since this Lexington community treasure was last refurbished and the continued use is starting to show.

The W. Paul and Lucille Caudill Little Foundation has generously awarded the Opera House Fund a $500,000 grant. Our challenge is to raise the required matching funds. Our goal is to double the match. We are seeking $1 million in contributions which will enable us to accomplish the following goals by Fall of 2007:

The list of proposed upgrades includes: Estimated Cost
• All New Seats $350,000
• State-of-the-art Permanent Sound System $500,000
• Upgraded Theatrical Lighting Instruments $250,000
• Improved Safety Lighting for Auditorium & Pub Level $150,000
• Stage and Dressing Room Upgrades $200,000
• Lobby and Pub Furnishings $50,000
* Other needs may be addressed as funds become available. Scheduled projects to begin Summer - 2007
